September and October Moots - Ideas...

Hi All,

Sorry I haven't been around for a while... As you can imagine things have been pretty hectic around here, preparing for the baby... I'm only 22 days away from my due date, and things have been hard to keep on top of!

So I've totally forgotten to do anything for this month...

Maybe we can get something sorted, for a last minute meet up... Or maybe just wait until next month...?

What do you guys think? Message me with your emails, as I'm currently keeping everyone up to date with a mailing list...

Much love and tons of apologies!

Next Gathering - Pagan Potluck Picnic...

Our initial moot at the ZenCha Tea Salon went great... It was lovely meeting everyone and refreshing to have such a diverse group, from different backgrounds, paths and traditions...

So we've decided to have our second Gathering at Whetstone Park for a gorgeous Autumn Picnic...

Whetstone Park - 7pm onwards
3923 North High Street
Columbus, OH 43214

- Exact location TBD - but will be marked for easy find-ability!

This will be our Gwyl Awst (Feast of August), so please bring with you an open mind, a friendly manner, and food and/or drink to share...

Also you might want to bring something comfortable to laze away the evening on... In good company, with good conversation and good food and drink...

A shelter is nearby if the weather changes for the worst... But we hope not! ;-p

ZenCha Q&A and Directions, etc...

To Answer A Few Questions:

What shall I bring?

You only need bring yourself (maybe a friend/spouse/partner, etc). Please let me know names and numbers, so I can secure a seat for you all to park your backsides on.

You also might want to bring a wee note pad, diary, or some such, so you can jot down the dates and location of the next Moots...

How much is this event?

This is a free event!

The only money you will need is for anything you wish to purchase at the Teahouse.

What is expected of me?

A friendly, open mind! A willingness to make new acquaintances and have fun...

I'm not Wiccan, but would like to attend, does that matter?

Of course not! I'm not Wiccan...

People of any and all Pagan/WitchCraft traditions, faiths or paths can attend. The more the merrier!

Is this just a social thing, or do you have plans to form a coven?

The Columbus Pagan & Witches Moot is purely a social gathering of like minds, with a view to having fun and socialising... While there are plans to hold Open Rituals, workshops, etc this is secondary to the Moot and not within a coven setting. Open Rituals are for those who want to celebrate with others, but not within a formal coven.

Those who attend the Moot might forge close friendships with others, and wish to start a coven, a circle, study group, etc and I would only be too willing to help those looking for covens, etc...

Where is Zencha?

Pagan & Witches Moot - Gathering at the Tea House - July 2009

Sorry I haven't been in touch for a while!

But here we go....

I have quite a few people now who would be interested... And I've finally found a nice wee venue that is quiet enough to talk, and has an amazing tea menu... They also serve gorgeous deserts! Yum!

Since its discovery in the third century B.C, tea has been a significant historic and cultural link across the world... In China, tea inspires a prolific literary tradition... In Japan, it is a integral part of Zen rituals and self-cultivation... In Britain, tea is the centre of social gathering and relaxation...

So what better than to hold our first Moot among the gorgeous smells of over 100 varieties of Tea from all over the world...

So how would you fancy tea, talk and great company on a Thursday evening in the next few weeks!?

I really hope a Thursday evening is good for you, and if you'd be bringing anyone with you they are more than welcome, I just need a rough number... From about 7-9ish...

THURSDAY JULY 9TH!

Yay for Biting!

I've had quite a few people contact me today...  So here's to hoping I can get to arranging something soonish...

I'm checking out a great looking place, as an ideal venue for our first meeting, tonight! It has a very pretty looking lit patio... And it's also a great excuse to go to out for dinner with the hubby too ;-p

The reviews are outstanding, lets hope the place lives up to it's reputation!

*hugs*

Pentagram

Columbus Pagan & Witches Moot

This is the LiveJournal for the....

The Columbus Pagan and Witches Moot, is purely a social gathering focused on forging friendships with other like-minded people of all traditions or none, offering a networking and social Pagan/Witch support group for all... Or for those who are lost in the darkness, and awaiting their return to the Goddess... Or for those who are just fun, open minded individuals, who fancy hanging out with a bunch of Pagans and/or Witches...

In general a Merry Pagan Shindig!!!

This is still in the very early stages of planning...

But once I have the interest of a small group, we can go ahead and schedule our first meetings, once a month, either in a bar to shoot some pool, a coffee shop, potluck picnics, cosy places to talk and have something to eat in good company etc, etc... Changing the venue around to suit what we all fancy doing instead of just staying at the same place...

At a later date even arranging days out to places of interest, Open Circles and IF we get enough interest I will be willing to work hard at getting a Pagan/Witchcraft Festival and camping Gatherings off the ground...

Please message me with your interesting and ideas... More info, a little about me, and contact details are on my Profile Page...
